How Does It Work?

Unlike standard SAP, IDoc Medic captures all IDoc errors in a single cycle. If you’ve ever worked with IDocs, you know that you can spend a lot of time correcting errors, but you can easily spend even more time posting your “corrected” IDoc over and over again.

IDoc Medic not only improves the existing error handling process, it also offers new functionality like IDoc queue prioritization using KBI, integrated background processing to keep the user focused on resolving IDoc errors, custom error messages that are meaningful to your organization, and time savers like error summarization to speed up the error handling process. Some of these features will even reduce your overall system workload.

At the same time IDoc Medic is easy to use and, more importantly, easy to configure.

IDoc Medic provides two editor operating modes:

Standard Editor

Advanced Editor

A simplified, error focused end user mode guides the user through the error handling process field by field.


This mode is streamlined for error handling and it includes standard options like drop down search fields and the display of related fields to help with the error handling process of identifying correct values for a field in error. In addition it is possible to link to any SAP transaction directly and, for security and compliance, you can designate fields as display only or simply hide them altogether.

A more powerful mode that is designed to be used by super users or subject matter experts (SMEs). Advanced Mode allows the user to freely edit an IDoc. In addition, it provides highly sought, advanced functionality to intelligently add/remove groups of segments (e.g. Sales Order line item).
