1. Development
   Our expertise in Development includes leading development efforts (Development Lead) which can include the definition of development standards, prioritization of development efforts, code reviews and defect reviews. Our technical experience covers interfaces (EDI, BAPI, etc.), user exits, custom transactions and reports. Furthermore, we are specialized in debugging and optimizing code to improve performance.


2. Development Process Review
   Alternatively, we can provide an objective third party review to evaluate the performance of your current development team. As part of this service we evaluate the following areas: quality & enforcement of development standards, review strategy,  program quality & performance and identification of potential risk areas. The results are presented in a clear, detailed report that includes improvement suggestions if required.
   This evaluation requires system access and it is typically executed off-site. However, the results might require an on-site engagement with your development lead/team to discuss all findings in detail and to help with adjustments to improve your development process.

Straten Consulting provides standard Production Support covering functional and technical areas, but we can also assist with the Vendor Selection and implementation of an outsourcing project.

Our services can include the definition of Service Level Agreements, the establishment of Development Standards, the fine tuning of your Production Support Process, the tracking of Production Support Metrics and much more.

The role of a Solution Architect requires extensive knowledge in many areas of SAP.

For example a Solution Architect can assist the Project Management Office (PMO) to define the scope of a project by identifying missing SAP functionality. In addition, the Solution Architect can help with defining a working system landscape (including legacy systems), identifying hardware needs (system sizing), specifying backup needs, defining a Service Level Agreement (SLA), and implementing a working Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Furthermore, this role can provide functional and technical expertise to many project team members.

If desired, this role can also assist the PMO in various ways (e.g. gathering of project metrics) and with identifying upgrade-specific functionality changes. This role typically evolves and moves into different areas throughout the lifetime of a project.

Straten Consulting provides Technical Consulting (BASIS) support in the areas of installation, patching (Service Packs and Enhancement Packs), transport management, security and system maintenance. We do not provide advanced database (e.g. Oracle) or operating system (e.g. AIX) support beyond the initial installation and patching.
